Jan 20th, 2025 Board election and annual meeting announcement Vermilion Country School Community, The Vermilion Country School Board invites all interested members of the community to attend our annual meeting on Feb 27, 2025 at 4pm. This annual meeting will precede the regular business of our February board meeting. We will be holding our annual election for our board of directors on Thursday February 20th and Friday February 21st. (Our current board of directors is listed below.) All current guardians, employees of the school, and board members are welcome to vote in our annual election for the school board. All voting will take place in person during school hours between 8:15am and 3:15pm. Any eligible voter can request a ballot to be delivered Thursday February 20th, and can return the ballot by 3:15pm Friday February 21st in order to participate. Our current election is for 1 community representative seat and a teacher representative on the board. Current incumbent members Jodi Summit and Marjory Wood are running for re-election. Note we are also seeking candidates to nominate for one open teacher position and one open community position. Also at the annual meeting we will review major projects from the past year, as well as look forward to the future and where our focus will be in supporting the mission and vision of our school.
